Lead in Drinking Water Notice!

Fremont Analytical, Inc. is accredited by the Washington Department of Ecology to test drinking water for lead.  We request 1 - liter of volume for the analysis and are able to provide you with a bottle at no charge if you’d like to stop by the laboratory and pick one up.  Otherwise, we recommend you use a 1L plastic bottle with a plastic cap.  It is necessary that you sample on “first draw,” letting the water sit in your pipes, usually overnight, without any use (taps, toilets, showers, etc.).  Rinse the bottle out a few times the night before with your tap water, then collect the first full liter to come out of the tap in the morning.  After collecting the sample, you can either bring it directly to us or keep it chilled until delivery.

  •   Use a 1L plastic bottle with a plastic cap.
  •   Rinse it several times with your tap water the night before.
  •   Do not use any taps/toilets/showers for 8-10 hours.
  •   Collect the first liter of water that comes out of the tap in the morning.
  •   Bring the volume to the laboratory, or chill it in the refrigerator.
  •   The cost is $25.00.
  •    Your report is delivered by email in 5 business-days.
